Intel Upgrades NUC with Haswell, Faster Graphics for 4K Output

Bigger performance, same small box:
Intel NUC Kit D54250WYK

We liked the concept of Intel's unique NUC (Next Device of Computing), which provided a full-fledged processing encounter in a small framework that you could keep in the side of your side. Cold problems affected previously editions, and while we had achievements changing out the mSATA SSD to relieve the issue, it didn't fix the issue for everyone. Apple has since apparently fixed the issue, and just in a chance to release an improved design designed around Haswell.

The new NUC Kit (D54250WYK) activities a 4th Creation Apple Primary i5 4250U processor processor soldered onto the mother board and seated beneath an effective fan and heatsink chilling remedy. The 4250U is a dual-core processor with Extremely Threads assistance. It operates at 1.3GHz (2.6GHz Turbo), has 3MB of storage cache, and a helpful 15W TDP.

Upgrading the CPU also lumps up the incorporated design to Apple HD 5000 with a 200MHz platform regularity (1GHz Max). You're not going to be doing much high-end game playing at great solutions with the visible high quality configurations turned up, but certainly some game playing isn't out of the query.
Intel NUC BoardThere's also a DisplayPort (version 1.2) on the new model for driving 4K displays, which we're starting to see emerge. Other features include two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 16GB of DDR3-1600/1333 memory, HDMI 1.4 output, a GbE port, four USB 3.0 ports (two each in the front and back), two USB 2.0 ports (internal header), and an infrared sensor on the front panel, among a few other tidbits.
No word on when the upgraded NUC will be available to purchase or for how much.
